Medio teams with mPoria for mobile ad campaigns

Mobile search provider Medio Systems Inc. and m-commerce technology company mPoria Inc. announced a strategic partnership to help retailers reach wireless users on their phones.
Medio, which powers Verizon Wireless’ Get It Now search offering, said it will provide mobile advertising campaigns to mPoria’s retail customers such as GameStop, Buy.com, TicketsNow and Cutter & Buck. The pay-per-click service is part of mPoria’s GM3 program, a merchant marketing effort announced last month.
“Just like the online world, in mobile you can’t simply offer merchandise on a mobile site and expect people to find and buy it,” said Omar Tawakol, chief advertising officer for Medio Systems. “We’re excited to partner with mPoria to offer discounts to their GoMobile Merchants and help them easily and cost-effectively attract new audiences to their mobile properties.”
