“I strongly believe that next year, in 2008, about 90% of people who walk anywhere in any store to buy wireless will have done their research online before. This changes the game,” said Delly Tamer, founder and CEO of online retailer LetsTalk.com. Indeed, Tamer has a clear insight into the online retailing game as his company sells service from 19 different wireless carriers in the United States, including all the market’s major players.
In an exclusive interview with RCR Wireless News, Tamer discusses how LetsTalk.com organizes and sells its phones, and what offerings are popular right now.
“Right now, today, what’s selling the most are plans with music, and plans to check your e-mail,” he said, adding that smartphones, including Research In Motion Ltd.’s BlackBerry devices, are increasingly popular.
In this complete audio interview with RCR Wireless News, Tamer discusses LetsTalk’s focus as well as current market trends and where the industry is heading.
