The content is available exclusively to Verizon Wireless customers. The offering includes team-branded wallpapers and ringtones for each of the 30 NHL teams.

Props to Moto engineers
The team of Motorola Inc. engineers who worked on creating the first cellular telephone prototype were presented with the 2007 GlobalSpec Great Moments in Engineering award, celebrating the 35th anniversary of their work. Members of the group began work in December 1972 on a project that aimed to create a three-dimensional model of a portable handheld telephone. The project included creation of components small enough to fit in the handset. The team had a three-month deadline. The finished project was the DynaTAC portable phone, which was demonstrated in April 1973.

Finally, comic books on phone
Devil’s Due Publishing and digital entertainment company Uclick announced an agreement that will bring Devil Due’s original comic book properties to mobile phones. The Devil’s Due titles will be available next year through Uclick’s GoComics Mobile Comic Book Reader at major U.S. carriers. Devil’s Due’s line of comic books includes Sheena: Queen of the Jungle, Lost Squad, Voltron, Hack/Slash and Mercy Sparx.
