Infrastructure awards wrap-up: Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks

The following list details this week’s infrastructure awards for the cellular, Wi-Fi and WiMAX industries. The contracts are broken down by transmission technology, country and vendor. The value of the contract is included when available.
Cellular
–India: Idea Cellular has chosen L.M. Ericsson to supply a GSM network covering Mumbai. The companies also signed a managed services agreement.
Miscellaneous
–France: Bouygues Telecom selected Nokia Siemens Networks to provide indoor GSM equipment to extend coverage into areas like office buildings, underground industrial areas and hotspots.
–United Kingdom: L.M. Ericsson said it signed a five-year managed services contract to modernize T-Mobile’s network and provide managed and professional services.
