Cellufun announced a deal to bring a game show from cable television network GSN to mobile phones.
“Catch 21,” which debuts tonight on GSN, combines pop trivia with the classic card game 21. The brand started as a free online game from WorldWinner.com and now will be available to consumers with Web-enabled phones.
A New York-based outfit, Cellufun has made moves with ad-supported community games, and claims to generate more than 70 million page views a month. “This deal represents the cutting edge of TV promotion,” said Cellufun CEO Arthur Goikhman.
