Commscope Q2 results get boost from Andrew buy

CommScope Inc. released second-quarter results, reporting revenue of $1.09 billion, net income of $40.2 million and strong international sales. CommScope said sales more than doubled on a year-over-year basis, due primarily to the acquisition of Andrew.
Sales increased 2.1%, positively impacted by Andrew’s actual sales for the second calendar quarter of 2007.
Wireless Network Solutions sales decreased by 5.3% year-over-year to $185.4 million, impacted by sales from the SatCom product line, which CommScope divested in the first quarter of 2008. Had SatCom sales been excluded, WNS revenue grew by 5.5% year-over-year.
