The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
—BitWave: Apex Venture Partners, TVM Capital and ECentury Capital Partners invested $10 million in a Series B funding round into BitWave Semiconductor. The funding will be used to commercially launch the company’s BW1102 SoftransceiverRFIC product.
—MoFuse: The Slater Technology Fund provided seed capital to MoFuse Mobile, a Providence, R.I.-startup that gives bloggers and other content publishers the ability to publish their content seamlessly to the mobile Web. The Slater Technology Fund is an early stage fund that is backed by the State of Rhode Island. The company said its platform supports 12,000 mobile Web sites, up from 2,200 at the end of last year.
—Trilliant: MissionPoint Capital Partners and Zouk Ventures invested $40 million in equity financing into Trilliant Inc., an intelligent network solutions provider focused on the utility industry. In conjunction with the financing, Trilliant appointed Mark J. Lewis and Anthony Fox to its board of directors. Lewis is a managing director with MissionPoint and Fox is a partner at Zouk.
