Communications Test Design Inc., a repair and logistics provider, announced it purchased cellphone accessory vendor Phoenix Wireless for an undisclosed sum.
“The acquisition by CTDI provides operational and financial scalability to Phoenix Wireless, a leader in the accessories business, as well as incremental customers for both companies,” said Brian Parsons, director of CTDI’s Products Division. “This will enable Phoenix to deliver an exciting, evolving product set coupled with enhanced service and delivery levels.”
CTDI said the acquisition will enable Phoenix to expand its product and service offerings through CTDI’s capabilities, which include engineering and distribution via more than 3,800 employees and 39 distribution centers in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Founded in 1996, Phoenix Wireless counts 15,000 customers across the United States and abroad. The company manufactures and distributes Bluetooth headsets, case solutions, chargers, batteries and other accessories.
