4G Unwired
4G Unwired has introduced SkyView Microwave, microwave engineering software that provides the ability to design microwave and broadband networks in 3D directly in Google Earth with accurate and repeatable results. View line of sight worldwide from any angle, produce complete link budgets and choose from a selection of 3D towers. SkyView KMZ files can be shared via the Web with others who can view all site and path engineering data within the project. (www.Skyview3DSoftware.com)
TOWERMLS
TOWERMLS is a collaboration of volunteers from across the country that have a vested interest in building a comprehensive, reliable, and accurate database of wireless infrastructure. Created in early 2009, it is quickly becoming the most comprehensive database of its kind in the world. Members include wireless carriers, site selection firms, tower companies, collocation vendors and engineering firms. Interested parties are invited to review the site to understand how they can utilize the site or contribute to TOWERMLS. (www.towermls.com)
NPT Site Systems
NPT Site Systems Inc. is launching at PCIA. The company said that by monitoring the ground resistance at tower sites, carriers can reduce the risks of poor site performance related to equipment grounding. This system ensures the integrity of the existing ground grids before and after co-locators install their equipment. The sensitivity settings coupled with the alarm capabilities will deter theft attempts can generate immediate alerts.
Phazar
Phazar Antenna Corp. has debuted a 700 MHz Distributed Antenna Systems antenna (698-940 MHz) that can cover both the lower and upper 700 MHz bands, or 850 MHz spectrum. The company also introduced an AWS antenna (1710-2155 MHz spectrum) that can cover AWS and PCS spectrum. The antennas combine several different frequency bands to allow multi-user options and antenna placement on utility poles, street lights, lamp posts and monopole structures. “The antenna combinations can support shared DAS applications for multiple carriers in areas that require additional capacity such as universities, stadiums, convention centers or special event venues,” the company said. Laser Technology
Laser Technology Inc. introduced the Azimuth Pointing System (APS), a GPS-based compass that produces True North azimuth measurements, a GPS position and the degree of inclination all in one system. Engineers can align tower antennas or satellite dishes more accurately because the APS is not affected by local magnetic interference from surrounding metal structures. This simple pointing system is as easy to use as a handheld compass or clinometer. Attach an LTI laser to the APS and instantly measure the height and position of any target. (www.Lasertech.com)
Mobilitie
Mobilitie said it has introduced a single set of tools to help manage the mountains of information and countless activities related to site management called Mobilitie’s Site Management Solution. The SMS product is a tool to aggregate and organize information, maintain site integrity and control, and drive new revenue. It is a single platform that sits at the core of all key business processes, and was built with open standards to allow users the flexibility to scale and evolve without exorbitant ongoing development and licensing costs and the headaches of dealing with software vendors. CW Consulting Services
CW Consulting Services Inc., doing business as CW Solutions said it has been nationally certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Presidents’ Education Organization – New York, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. CW Solutions said it is a single source for all government and private land development projects to every stage of the design and deployment for telecommunications, utility and renewable energy projects.
