Canada: Andrew Solutions has been selected by WIND Mobile to provide advanced wireless 911 services that will help Canadian emergency services pinpoint a caller’s location.
Spain: Alvarion has been chosen by Clearwire to deliver its mobile 4MotionWIMAX 802.16e solution to Spain. Starting in 2010, Clearwire intends to offer 4G services like VoIP, high-speed internet and video to businesses and consumers there.
China: China Telecom subsidiary Shanghai Telecom has initiated a 3G network expansion using Alcatel-Lucent’s multicarrier EV-DO solution.
