Capital Semiconductor Ltd. and InterDigital Inc. entered a strategic relationship for third-generation technology transfer and a mutually beneficial licensing agreement. The deal calls for InterDigital’s SlimChip modem core to be integrated into CapiSemi’s chips for 3G mobile devices.
Indonesian operator XL Axiata Tbk has selected Motricity to provide a range of mobile data solutions, including its mCore Platform. The deal allows XL to provide personalized carrier-branded mobile data services to its customers.
Cyber Communications Inc. said it has partnered with GoldSpot Media in a deal that calls for GoldSpot to provide its rich media and video solution for smartphones and mobile tablets. CCI said it will use GoldSpot’s miApp and miSpot solutions to provide premium publishers, mobile operators, application developers and brands with a single destination for native applications and Web applications across multiple media platforms.
TelstraClear, a wholesale provider in New Zealand, extended its partnership with Clarity for an additional year. TelstraClear currently is using the Clarity Marketplace to manage nine virtual Internet service providers. The contract extension also covers the implementation of TelstraClear’s W-Toll service.
