Starhome eases the pain of distance roaming

.
We all know what a pain roaming charges can be, but it would appear that roaming is an issue for carriers as well as customers, with one firm, Starhome, doing its utmost to soothe  pain.
Since its establishment a decade ago, Starhome has deployed over 900 roaming solutions for over 178 operators in 118 countries worldwide, claiming to address all key roaming requirements and becoming a leader in the market for roaming value added services (VAS).
For example, Starhome told RCR that for retail, the firm offers services to stimulate and increase roaming traffic and usability, while for those more interested in wholesale, Starhome’s services strive to help operators meet their wholesale targets and IOT discount agreements. For operations, the firm’s “mission-critical solutions” optimize network efficiency and reduce cost of ownership.
Starhome says it has developed “a unique privately managed, global IP network,” through which it is able to offer customers three service operation modes: standalone, monitored or managed service mode.
The company also touts its Global Services Operations Centers (GSOCs), management centers for all network activities, which monitor the entire Starhome global network 24/7 to prevent, detect, and solve any problems.
Starhome boasts that approximately 50% of its customers are tier one operators and operator groups, including the likes of Vodafone, Orange, Mobilkom and Telefonica.
The firm told RCR Unplugged it works closely with its customers through brainstorming sessions and workshops, the results of which it then uses to adapt its roadmap and service offerings.
