Wireless History Foundation to induct four to Hall of Fame

The Wireless History Foundation revealed this year’s inductees into its Wireless Hall of Fame.
The inductees are: LeRoy T. Carlson, founder and chairman emeritus of Telephone and Data Systems Inc. and founder of U.S. Cellular; Edward Samuel “Ted” Rogers Jr. (posthumously), president and CEO of Rogers Communications Inc.; Stanley T. Sigman, retired president and CEO of AT&T Mobility; and Raymond C. Trott, an RF engineering pioneer and founder of Trott Communications Group.
The inductees will be honored at the Wireless History Foundation’s dinner event prior to the CTIA Enterprise and Applications tradeshow Oct. 5 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. The 24 existing Hall of Fame members also will be honored.
The Wireless Hall of Fame was founded in 2000 by RCR Wireless News to recognize outstanding achievements throughout the wireless industry. WHF assumed administration of the program in 2008.
