Movers and Shakers: Verizon's Killian retires; Levy joins Brightpoint board; and more

Verizon Communications Inc.’s executive vice president and CFO, John F. Killian, announced he will retire at the end of this year. Killian has spent 31 years with the company, including serving as CEO since March 2009. Verizon said it will name a successor shortly, and Killian will help with the transition.

John F. Levy has been appointed to Brightpoint Inc.’s board of directors. He replaces James W.P. Reid-Anderson, who resigned from the board after being appointed chairman and CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corp. Levy is CEO and principal consultant for Board Advisory, which is a consulting firm that assists companies with corporate governance, compliance, ethics, financial reporting and financial strategies.

Jeff Ross joined Photobucket as vice president of business development. Previously, Ross was vice president of products at Cequint.
