Movers and Shakers: TI names Crutcher SVP; Qualcomm promotes Mollenkopf; and more

Texas Instruments Inc. said Brian Crutcher, worldwide manager of Embedded Processing and Custom businesses, has been elected a senior vice president. Crutcher will lead strategy, product development and delivery of the company’s portfolio of Embedded Processing and Custom products. He has been with the company since 1995 and most recently was vice president and general manager of the Microcontroller Products business unit.
Torbjorn Possne has been named head of Global Customer Unit Vodafone at Ericsson. Possne currently is senior vice president and head of group function sales and marketing at Ericsson.
Qualcomm Inc. promoted Steve Mollenkopf to executive vice president and group president, recognizing his expanded executive oversight responsibilities to include Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, Qualcomm Internet Services and Qualcomm MEMS Technologies Inc. He has been with the company since 1994.
Millennial Media named Matt Gillis and Eric Hastings to the company’s management team. Gillis joins the company as senior vice president of business development where he will lead the growth and development of the company’s strategic partnerships. Most recently, Gillis led mobile games publisher Cosmic Infinity. Hastings was named to the newly created position of senior vice president of engineering, where he will oversee the company’s technology systems. He joins the company from Advertising.com, where he led the company’s technology department.
Yossi Lovton and Moshe Yeshurun have joined Telit Wireless Solutions’ management team. Lovton formerly was product portfolio manager for M2M cellular modules and car phones at Motorola Israel. Yeshurun was a field engineer and integration team leader at Motorola Israel.
BlueAnt Wireless appointed Tim Towster vice president of marketing and Michael Morse director of carrier sales. Towster will be responsible for leading the company’s global branding, strategic planning, product marketing, retail and merchandising, pricing and promotion, and product development initiatives. He joins the company from Motorola, where he managed product and portfolio planning for six accessory business categories. Morse joins BlueAnt from Superior Communications, where he led carrier account management.
The West Wireless Health Institute appointed Eric Collins senior vice president of commercial engineering and a member of the Institute’s management committee. In this role, Collins will lead the Institute’s strategies for converting wireless health product concepts and prototypes from early stage development into commercial-ready products. Previously, Collins led a team of engineers that created HealthPhone. He also is CEO of Montage Systems and co-founder of MediSens Wireless.
Dean Liming has been named vice president of professional services at Tellabs. Liming joins the company from Openwave Systems, where he was senior director of professional services.
Myxer Inc. appointed Mike Carson chief marketing officer. Carson previously was vice president of marketing at FTD.Com Flowers and Gifts.
TOA technologies named Bruce Grainger senior vice president of the Americas, where he will oversee sales, account and relationship management activities for the company. Grainger joins the company from Oracle’s Communication Global Business Unit where he led the Americas region.
