RCR Wireless News is inviting community leaders to participate in a Town Hall discussion to examine how mobile broadband deployments will impact north Texas businesses, universities and individual households. RCR Wireless News will be broadcasting the event live over the Internet on www.rcrwireless.tv. Registration is required and onsite seating is limited.
Local and virtual participants, via RCRWireless.tv, will discuss how global broadband technology advances are driving investment in wireless broadband infrastructure, which in turn creates jobs throughout the community. North Texas has a rich heritage of innovation for wireless communications and the next wave of that innovation is on the horizon. Hear from global wireless thought leaders on how 4G technologies will change the way people work, live and play.
Anchored by RCR Wireless News Editor Dan Meyer, speakers include executives from wireless operators including MetroPCS Communications Inc., and telecom equipment and software companies Ericsson, Huawei and SEVEN Networks, as well as telecom industry associations 4G Americas, PCIA, the DAS Forum and the Metroplex Technology Business Council.
Open to the public, audience participation is interactive through a webinar platform that allows for questions and dialogue-oriented discussions.
Topics to be address include:
• The demand drivers behind the “data tsunami;”
• Policy issues including spectrum, net neutrality and privacy;
• Types of investments carriers and others are making to keep up with smart devices and the surge in data traffic;
• Job opportunities, and;
• How technology is changing consumer and business behavior.
