Movers and Shakers: McGuire elected chairman of Tecordia; Vringo names Doni VP; and more

Telcordia said Garry K. McGuire has been elected non-executive chairman of the company’s board of directors. McGuire has held a seat on the board since 2006 and is the former chief financial officer and senior vice president of corporate development at Avaya. In addition, Patrick Severson has joined the company’s board. Severson is a managing director of Technology, Media and Telecommunications at Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm.
Vringo Inc. appointed Eshed Doni vice president of product, where he will be responsible for leading the product team and Vringo product efforts. Doni joins the company from eyeSight Mobile Technologies where he managed business development and marketing efforts. He also co-founded Send-M, a mobile social messaging solutions provider.
Gina Nomellini has been named chief marketing officer at One Source Networks. Nomellini brings 15 years of experience to the company, most recently as vice president of global product and marketing for Telstra.
ChaCha named Greg Siefert chief technology officer, where he will be responsible for all engineering and technology operations. Seifert joins the company from Springhead L.L.C., where he was a founder and president. Prior to that, he was a vice president at Ambassador Solutions.
Verizon announced J. Michael Hickey, the company’s vice president of government relations for national security, will retire next month. He has been with the company nearly 25 years.
