Capital Markets: Zynga closes Newtoy acquisition; American Tower prices offering; and more

Social games developer Zynga Inc. acquired Texas-based mobile game developer Newtoy Inc. Newtoy is best known for its ‘Games With Friends’ series of games, which includes Words With Friends, Chess With Friends and We Rule. Terms of the deal were not released.

Novatel Wireless Inc. said it completed its acquisition of Enfora Inc., which provides intelligent asset-management solutions that use wireless and machine-to-machine technology.

American Tower Corp. priced its registered public offering of senior unsecured notes due January 2018 at an aggregate principal amount of $1 billion. The company said it plans to use proceeds of the offering to finance acquisitions, including up to $200 million for the purchase of towers from Cell C Ltd. and up to $500 million or potential acquisitions in Latin America. Additional funds may be used to repay the company’s senior unsecured revolving credit facility and for general corporate purposes.

Texas Instruments updated its fourth-quarter business outlook. The company said it expects to report revenues of between $3.43 billion and $3.57 billion. TI previously said it expected its revenues to come in between $3.36 billion and $3.64 billion. Earnings per share should be between 61 cents and 65 cents per share, compared with the company’s prior range of 59 cents to 67 cents per share.
