December 16 — China Mobile (0941.HK) was the top-ranked company on the list of The BrandZ Top 50 Most Valuable Chinese Brands, with a brand value of $56.074 billion, reports Communications Weekly, citing an announcement by Millward Brown, a global research agency.
The telecoms giant is followed by the ‘big four’ banks – Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398, 1398.HK) which took second spot, Bank of China (601988, 3988.HK) which was ranked No.3 and the fourth-ranked China Construction Bank(601939, 0939.HK). Agricultural Bank of China (601288, 1288.HK) came in at No. 6.
China life Insurance (601628, 2628.HK) was ranked fifth with a brand value of $18.32 billion.
PetroChina (601857, 0857.HK), Tencent (0700.HK) and Baidu took the seventh, eighth and ninth spots respectively.
The brand value of Ping An Insurance (Group)(601318, 2318.HK), which was ranked 10th, was $8.443 billion.
