Mobile Giving Foundation looks back on a charitable 2010

The Mobile Giving Foundation has some stats and gratitude that it would like to share as 2010 comes to a close. More than 1,000 mobile-giving campaigns were initiated in 2010 by more than 800 charities across North America.
All told, $50 million was raised by the charities during the past year and about 92% of all donations were from new donors.
“As we close an amazing 2010, we want to give thanks to everyone who contributed to the breakout success of mobile giving this year and encourage you to generously support your favorite charities,” said Jim Manis, chairman and CEO of the foundation. “As we start the New Year, the MGF will continue to focus on the values of trust and integrity in enhancing, building and deploying mobile-giving services, and ensuring the most positive consumer experience with the medium.”
