ZTE Corp. announced formation of a partnership with ChinaTel Group Inc. to promote the process of broadband access solutions and services worldwide. ZTE Corp. and Perusat, the subsidiary of ChinaTel in Peru, have been deploying a nationwide WiMAX (LTE-Ready) network in Peru. Phase one of the project included the eight most populated cities of Peru except Lima. Further expansion will cover the rest cities in Peru, including Lima and Callao. ChinaTel has chosen to upgrade the first base station equipment to ZTE’s latest wireless broadband technology, 4T8R beam forming.
