HTC aims to lead Taiwan's smartphone market

HTC Corp., Taiwan`s leading smartphone vendor, is cooperating with Tsai International to open a HTC-brand flagship store, the largest of its kind in Asia, at the Guanghwa market in Taipei City, known for ITC product retailing.
HTC CEO Peter Chou said his company has completed the second-stage branding and is entering the third stage with the inauguration of the own-brand flagship store in Taipei City.
C.L. Tung, president of HTC Asia-Pacific, noted this year`s branding activity will focus on retail deployment of terminal products. In the near future, the company will cooperate with telecom carriers and large shopping malls to build 100 brand-product retailers island-wide to take over the lead in Taiwan`s smartphone market.
The new HTC flagship store occupies three floors of over 3,600 square feet, where demonstration of HTC products, on-spot sales, after-sale services, and educational training are offered.
