VIVO is Brazil’s largest mobile operator with over 60 million subscribers
Barcelona, Spain, February 11, 2011 – OnMobile Global Limited, the leading provider of telecom value-
added services (VAS), has forged a long term partnership with VIVO Telecom in Brazil to launch Ring
Back Tones for VIVO’s Brazilian customers. Previously owned by Portugal Telecom (PT) and Telefonica,
VIVO is the largest mobile operator in Brazil with more than 60 million subscribers and a 29.7% market
share in the country.
OnMobile Global deployed a Ring Back Tone platform for VIVO that allows a user to set a song to replace
the standard tone that is usually heard by callers while they wait for their call to be answered. This
facility is available to both postpaid and prepaid subscribers and work across all handset types and
models. Brazilians have an inherent love for music and OnMobile plans to tap this large unserved market
starting with Ring Back Tones, both local and international in flavor to appease even the most discerning
subscriber.
OnMobile will also provide its unique and renowned RBT features such as ‘Press * to Copy’ and M
Search and capitalize on its highly advanced Business Intelligence platform to craft a highly personalized
music service. Brazilian music marketing experts will study the requirements of subscribers carefully and
provide a variety of options that makes the experience a highly enjoyable and customized one.
