Qualcomm expands relationship with Gameloft

Qualcomm Inc. has inked another partnership deal to help developers enhance their applications that run on Snapdragon processors.
This time it’s Gameloft, the game publisher behind “SpiderMan Total Mayhem HD,” “Real Football 2011 HD,” Modern Combat 2: Black Pegagus” and others.
Gameloft has already worked with Qualcomm to use the Adreno GPU for games like “Assassin’s Creed Altair’s Chronicles.” Under the expanded relationship in this new agreement, the companies will work more closer to optimize Gameloft’s games on Android-based devices that run on Snapdragon processors like the MSM8x55 and MSM8x60.
“We are pleased to be working closely with Gameloft to pre-optimize their impressive portfolio of mobile games for Snapdragon processors,” Raj Talluri, VP of product management for Qualcomm, said in a prepared statement. “The combination of Snapdragon’s dynamic Adreno GPU technology along with the game development expertise of Gameloft will bring some of the most exciting game franchises to tablets and smartphones this year.”
