Huawei releases Honeycomb tablet

Nokia releases N9 Meego smartphone
Nokia used CommunicAsia to unveil its first and last MeeGo based smartphone, the N9. The phone looks good, but many have criticized the launch as “pointless” with Nokia’s new Windows Phone 7 offerings coming down the pipeline.
NSN launches new radio module
Nokia Siemens Networks has given its Liquid Radio architecture a boost by launching a higher power radio module for its Flexi Multiradio Base Station family. NSN says the new module provides 40% more performance, for more 3G data capacity and greater GSM coverage. The firm also announced its acquisition of US-based semiconductor developer ClariPhy for an undisclosed sum.
Docomo prototype makes roaming a breeze
Japan’s NTT DoCoMo has shown off a prototype multiband power amplifier to give phone manufacturers the ability to produce handsets compatible in multiple markets. This means Japanese phone makers who typically make devices for the 1.5-, 1.7- and 1.9-GHz frequency bands could soon see their phones working overseas. It’s slated for release in 2013.
Angry birds NFC
Fins of a feather flock together, which is why Nokia has teamed up with fellow Finnish firm Rovio to get the first NFC version of Angry Birds up and running on its C7 phone. Angry Birds Free with Magic sports 20 levels, 15 of which can only be unlocked by bumping phones with a fellow NFC enabled Nokia device. More NFC devices from Nokia are said to be on their way.
