Invoicing on the go with Intuit's QuickBooks mobile app

Mountain View based Intuit Inc., maker of the popular TurboTax program, has announced the availability of its QuickBooks invoicing app for Android, following up its iOS app for Apple iPhone users.

The firm says this should make using QuickBooks easier on the fly for the firm’s four million subscribed small business users, already using the program on their PC desktop.

The app will now let those users create estimates, manage invoices and view customer details straight from their phone, syncing automatically with the desktop version.

“The majority of small and medium-sized business owners feel that staying connected through wireless devices is critical to the success of their business,” said Dan Wernikoff, vice president and general manager of Intuit’s Financial Management Solutions division, in a statement.

The app works free for QuickBooks Online subscribers though QuickBooks Pro and Premier 2011 customers can also gain access by buying a subscription. It can be downloaded directly from the Android Market or Apple iTunes.
