Motorola Solutions Inc. could expand its business in Brazil, where the company has been operating for 35 years. Motorola Solutions CEO Gregory Brown met with the Minister of Communications Paulo Bernardo recently, according to Agência Brasil. Motorola Solutions provides equipment and systems for businesses and governments.
Brown highlighted the importance of using using 700 MHz spectrum to bring mobile broadband to Brazil. He said to Agência Brasil that he believes this spectrum use is a trend that should continue in Brazil, and that he thinks will be a boon for economic development and expansion of the work.
Today 700 MHz spectrum is used by the broadcast industry but with the move to digital TV, the space must be vacated by 2016.
