SAN DIEGO – The Wireless History Foundation inducted four new members into its Wireless Hall of Fame during a dinner prior to this year’s CTIA Enterprise & Applications event in San Diego.
This year’s inductees, who were introduced by Qualcomm Co-Founder and Chairman Irwin Jacobs, included” Clayton Niles, former chairman of Communications Industries and leader in early cellular regulation; Robert Marino, former president of cellular companies in the United States and Argentina and chairman of Syniverse; Arnold Pohs, former chairman and CEO of CommNet Cellular, who was represented by his widow Constance Pohs; and Nick Kauser, former CTO of Rogers Cantel, McCaw Cellular Communications, AT&T Wireless Services and Clearwire Corp.
Past inductees into the WHoF include Jacobs, Marty Cooper, Arlene Harris, Craig McCaw, Denny Strigl and many others.
