Atlanta-based non-profit wireless association, The Wireless Technology Forum announced winners of its 2011 Wireless and Mobile Media Awards at a ceremony last night. This year’s winners included:
–McKesson for best business and vertical industry solutions application.
–Rovio for best game application with “Angry Birds.”
–Starbucks for best retail, shopping and commerce application.
–LinkedIn for best social media application.
–Pandora for best video, music and audio application.
–ESPN for best news and media application.
–Google for best overall application with Google Maps.
–Jack Dorsey from Square for mobile commerce person of the year.
–Louis Gump from CNN for mobile media person of the year.
–Bob Kupbens from Delta Air Lines for mobile consumer applications person of the year.
–Adam Clark from Fiserv for mobile business applications person of the year.
–Tim Cook from Apple for mobile person of the year.
The event also presented a listing of the “most innovative mobile companies to watch in Georgia,” which included FreebeePay, TripLingo, SaasMob, Centrafuse and ZOOZ Mobile.
