Amdocs unveils ‘Data Experience Solution’

Amdocs, a provider of customer experience systems, unveiled its Amdocs Data Experience Solution, which it said was designed to help service providers deploy new data services that could improve the customer user experience and accelerate data services monetization.

A unified hardware and software system, the Amdocs Data Experience Solution integrates policy, charging, product catalog and subscriber management functions along with the necessary business support, network interfaces, and preconfigured business processes to deliver specific, out-of-the-box market offers. Amdocs claims the offering is carrier-grade and performance-tested, with the solution’s underlying product components having been used in service provider networks serving more than 100 million mobile subscribers.

“The solution gives service providers a significant data monetization advantage that goes well beyond simple integration of policy and charging,” said Ed Ogonek, general manager of the data experience product business unit at Amdocs.

“The single, rapidly deployable system incorporates a common service definition framework with preconfigured, extensible market offers for rapid service differentiation,” Ogonek added.

The Amdocs Data Experience Solution features single, synchronized service definition and creation through the Amdocs Enterprise Product Catalog, enabling configuration and extension of preconfigured market offers.

Amdocs noted the offering leverages the network and policy control assets of Bridgewater Systems, including standards-based interfaces and multivendor interoperability for deployment into 3G and LTE network environments. Productized application programming interfaces enable a single point of integration into provisioning, notification, billing and self-care environments.
