Global Tower Partners said it has signed an agreement with Brookfield Real Estate Opportunity Fund to manage and lease 41 properties to wireless carriers as prospective co-location sites.
As part of the agreement, GTP has secured 4.5 million square feet of distributed antenna system rights for all buildings. Financial terms were not released.
“We are extremely pleased to refresh our partnership with BREOF to strengthen the wireless access potential of their real estate portfolio,” GTP CEO Marc Ganzi.
GTP is currently the nation’s No. 4 tower operator with more than 13,000 cell sites.
GTP has made several tower buys this year, including the purchase of GS Cell Site Holdings and its more than 1,600 sites, 37 cell sites in the Las Vegas area from NV Energy and 130 towers from Leap Wireless. The tower outfit has also secured more than $800 million in new financing this year.
