During the wireless association’s trade show, RCR Wireless News interviewed key players to better understand what’s going on in the industry and the impact of big data on carriers.

New launch: Strategy Analytics announced the launch of a consumer telemetry platform named AppOptix at CTIA 2013. It aims to provide quantitative insights on consumers’ interactions with their mobile devices. Barry Gilbert, Strategy Analytics VP, and Bonny Joy, the company’s chief of consumer telemetry platforms, explained the new features and talked about how a better understanding of subscribers’ consumption will impact telecom operators.
Enterprises can analyze wireless coverage: Andy Willet, VP of marketing at NetMotion Wireless, demonstrated how enterprises can benefit from understanding the mobile coverage carriers provide.
