Wireless winners on Wall Street year-to-date

Sprint Nextel and Clearwire have definitely been big winners on Wall Street this year as rival bidders have bumped up their stock prices. But they are not the only ones – a handful of other mobile and wireless stocks have also been stellar performers.

  • With five months of 2013 already behind us we’re taking a look today at some of the wireless sector’s biggest winners on Wall Street year to date.
  • Wi-Fi provider Alvarion is up almost 300% year-to-date. The Israeli company also just raised $3 million in a private placement.
  • Clearwire is also up almost 300% year-to-date and Sprint Nextel is up 175%. Other big winners for the year so far include CalAmp, Korea’s SK Telecom, Telerus, Novatel Wireless and SBA Communications.
