Now many of us can also use our smartphones to file our taxes. TaxAct, a leading provider of online filing solutions, has launched a mobile app for iOS and Android. Its compatible with the TaxAct software for PCs, so you can work on the same return on multiple devices. The smartphone app does not have all the functionality of the PC version. It will prompt you to answer questions about wages and salary, interest and dividends, as well as dependents and education credits, but for most other situations you will need a different version of the software. TaxACT joins H&R Block and TurboTax in the smartphone app space. Both of those companies also offer iPhone and Android apps. |
