Mobile Minute:
The Mobile Minute is sponsored by SpiderCloud Wireless.
ABC was counting on its Watch ABC app to play an important supporting role in its Oscar coverage, but the app did not win any awards Sunday night. VIdeo streams to mobile devices were interrupted by what ABC is calling a traffic overload. ABC told the Wall Street Journal that one of its vendors’ systems could not handle the demand for the Oscars. The Watch ABC app is usually available only to paying subscribers in markets where ABC owns a station. On Oscar night, ABC made some behind the scenes content available for free.
