More details today about the next generation of the iPhone, expected to launch later this year. 9-to-5 Mac is reporting that Apple will triple the base resolution on displays for the upcoming iPhone, and will keep the aspect ratio the same at 16:9. As for screen sizes, Apple is expected to launch the next iPhone in two sizes: 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. The current iPhones have 4 inch screens.
Android competitors have been pushing to larger and larger screen sizes, and to higher definition displays as well. It looks as if Apple is feeling the pressure on both fronts.
