Alcatel-Lucent and Accenture have formed the Accenture Alcatel-Lucent Business Group to design and build customer care operations for IP networks. The group will focus on mobile customer care solutions based on Alcatel-Lucent’s Motive Line of products. Motive was a Texas software startup acquired by Alcatel-Lucent six years ago. Motive specialized in remote management software solutions and remained a separate business division with Alcatel-Lucent through the end of 2011. Then in the beginning of 2012, Motive became part of Alcatel-Lucent’s Customer Experience Solutions Group, which includes data analytics offerings.
The Accenture Alcatel-Lucent Business Group will also explore small cell wireless network solutions with a focus on integrating cellular technology and Wi-Fi between service providers and large enterprises.
Going forward, Accenture will be Alcatel-Lucent’s preferred supplier for software and network integration services and Alcatel-Lucent will be a preferred technology provider for Accenture’s customer care and small cell solutions.
