DETROIT – Covisint’s business-to-business cloud platform is designed to support the connection of people, systems and things. The company said its platform will be used to manage identity, integration and the user experience. By using its industry experience and platform, the company was able to work with automaker Hyundai to speed its new Blue Link smartwatch application to market.
At the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Hyundai launched the Blue Link smart watch app, which integrates with their telematics system. The app, which Covisint said it developed in two weeks, allows the user to remotely start the engine, lock and unlock the doors, honk the horn and flash the lights. There also is a car-finder function to help in locating the car in a parking lot.
The free app is set to be available during the first quarter of this year and is designed to work with any Android-based smartwatch.
