Deutsche Telekom white label portfolio now available in Slovakia, set for launch in Norway.
Deutsche Telekom said its white label smart home offering is now available in Slovakia through Slovak Telecom, while customers in Norway will “soon” have access to the platform.
In Slovakia, the service is part of DT’s Qivicon platform, and includes the Qivicon Home Base, the white label application and compatible devices from various manufacturers.
“The comprehensive portfolio has enabled us to develop a smart home offering that addresses the demands of our customers,” said Juraj Bóna, director of business-to-consumer marketing and product management at Slovak Telekom and T-Mobile CZ. “It is also a perfect match in terms of our core business as well as our aspiration as a leader in innovation.”
In Norway, a group of 47 businesses with strong representation from regional utility companies under the Nettalliansen name, is set to offer customers assisted living solutions for seniors and professional health services under the Hitch brand. The smart home functions are set to include energy consumption management.
DT explained that its Qivicon Home Base smart home functionality can be integrated into existing gateways, and different pricing models can be defined by telecoms operators and companies. Consumers can start with a basic version of the app and add new functionality as required.

What’s more, the basic app is an attractive way to generate customer interest in connected home solutions: consumers can try it out over a period of time and then upgrade to a premium smart home version with more functionality later, if they wish to do so.”
