Smart device hardware and software provider Thundercomm has partnered with Microsoft to launch an Azure IoT certified Thundercomm TurboX Asset Tag device.
The asset tag device allows customers to locate, record and conduct data for asset tracking with on-demand frequency and low power consumption, Thundercomm said.
The TurboX Asset Tag includes a multimode cellular IoT core module developed by Thundercomm. This module is based on Qualcomm’s chipset platform.
Along with built-in Global Navigation Satellite System, the device supports LTE-M and NB-IoT connectivity.
After being certified by Microsoft Azure IoT, solution developers or customers can deploy the devices into their IoT projects and manage the information through Azure IoT Cloud, the company said.
“Thundercomm is dedicated to providing IoT solutions powered by 4G LTE and 5G telecom technologies. We are excited to work with Microsoft to enable customers improve the management and utilization of their valued assets in an intelligent and effective way,” said Larry Geng, chairman of Thundercomm.
The Thundercomm TurboX asset tracking tag will be available for order in the last quarter of 2019.
Thundercomm is a joint venture between Thunder Software Technology and Qualcomm (Guizhou) Investment Co. It is headquartered in Silicon Valley.
