IoT device maker MultiTech Systems has acquired LoRaWAN device vendor Radio Bridge for an undisclosed fee. The deal positions MultiTech to provide “everything from” sensors, embedded communications devices, modems and gateways, cloud connectivity, and device management services, it said.
Both firms are based in Minnesota, in the US. MultiTech said the addition of Radio Bridge’s portfolio of LoRaWAN sensors to its own range of IoT gateways and modules will afford device makers, system integrators, and solution providers a simpler path to develop and deploy LoRaWAN-based IoT solutions.
A statement said the combined businesses will offer “seamless integration based on an open architecture, and a cloud-based management console for provisioning, monitoring, and configuration of sensors and gateways – shortening time to market, simplifying device management, and lowering total cost of ownership.”
