Kagan: Generative AI uses wireless for massive data collection

CES 2024 shows how Generative AI collects data using wireless

Artificial Intelligence is on a rapid growth track and Generative AI is the next step in its evolution. This technology is moving forward at the speed of light. Chatbot technology like ChatGPT from OpenAI is only one year old. Thinking about it from that perspective, it is utterly amazing how quickly and dramatically the world is changing. Today, we are still in the early stages of Artificial Intelligence.

Chatbot technology like ChatGPT is still just one slice of the AI pie. Generative AI is another slice of the pie.

Chatbot, ChatGPT, Bard are separate and apart from Generative AI

Think about this like how the Ford Model T was one of the first automobiles. Today, there are countless brands and designs. Countless slices of the automobile pie regarding brand and advanced technologies.

Expect the same with AI going forward. Generative AI is one of the most important and powerful areas.

That being said, the next question is, what is coming next?

That is the question we should always have on our minds whether we are an investor, a worker, a competitor, a customer and more.

Generative AI is next step in artificial intelligence

Generative AI is the next step. That means there are many new questions we still have to wrestle with around this new technology.

A few initial questions are how will it capture the vast amounts of data it needs? Where will it come from? How will it be transported? Stored and used?

And of course, what will come from this new technology, for better and for worse?

Generative AI will potentially be incredibly important for the worlds of business, consumers, governments, health tech and so much more.

Generative AI will capture even larger mountains of data and move it around through the very technology we use today. That means wireless and wireline devices, technology and data networks.

Generative AI collects data over wireless and wireline data networks

Every person, every company, every government, every hospital and so much more interact with data networks all day, every day. This is how AI technology collects data.

Decades ago, like in the 1980’s we had mountains of data and no way to sort through it or use it. That was back in the days when retail stores started changing their cash registers to computer terminals. It helped them keep track of inventory and make sure shelves were not empty.

Increasingly, we have used AI to help sort through these mountains of data, to put it all together, to use in every aspect of our business and personal lives.

Today, we capture, store, transport and use more data than ever before in an increasing number of companies and technologies. And we are still in the very early days of this data revolution.

Going forward, we are designing every product and service to capture even larger mountains of data. And to share it with technology like AI and Generative AI.

There is no way man can analyze this. This is where artificial intelligence has come into play.

Generative AI is next generation of artificial intelligence

Generative AI is the next step. The next generation. This will sift through and sort vast amount of data to make it useable.

We are still in the very early days of the AI revolution. We really do not know what our world will look like going forward. We think we know. We listen to experts share their dreams of the world of tomorrow.

However, for better or worse technology always evolves. It changes as it matures. It often takes new and different directions. Many times, it grows in completely new and unexpected directions.

So, there is really no way to be sure what tomorrow will look like. To be sure, there is both promise and peril in the unknown.

CES 2024 will showcase Generative AI companies and technologies

That being said, this time is one of those times of unbridled wonder and growth.

We must make sure we keep an eye on the direction and always be thinking through how it will transform our world, both for better and for worse.

Just like the computer and wireless and the internet created their own, new industry and growth waves which changed our world, the same will happen with AI going forward.

I am looking forward to meeting with several interesting companies and see their technologies at CES 2024.

Companies struggle to be found among loud AI and Generative AI noise

Going forward, I look forward to finding and sharing many of these exciting stories of companies and technologies for investors, customers, competitors and the public at large.

CES 2024 will have plenty of companies, large and small, all needing to punch their way onto the map and the consciousness of the loud and noisy marketplace.

So, let us buckle up, because AI, Generative AI and what will come next will always be a powerful force as the world continues to change moving forward.
