FREMONT, Calif.-Digital Fountain Inc., which supplies forward error correction technology, said the Third Generation Partnership Project has standardized its DF Raptor as a mandatory component of the Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service for third-generation cellular networks.
DF Raptor allows for efficient and error-free delivery of multimedia streams and data files, said the company. The technology protects MBMS signals from packet loss, which enhances the user experience and ensures delivery of multimedia content in its entirety without degradation.
