DES MOINES, Iowa-Qwest Communications International Inc. expanded its nationwide wireless service to residential and small-business customers in Keokuk and Mason City, Iowa.
Rate plans for the service begin at $40 per month for 500 weekday calling minutes and include free calls to the Qwest home phone on the account. Customers can also receive discounts when combining eligible wireless plans with qualifying Home Phone Packages on a single bill.
Qwest’s nationwide wireless service uses Sprint Corp.’s wireless network through a mobile virtual network operator agreement. Qwest completed the sale of its regional wireless network and assets earlier this year to Verizon Wireless for $418 million.
