Texas Instruments tells engineers to smash tech

ESC, the embedded systems conference, is not exactly known as a thrilling technology show, but Texas Instruments (TI) was certainly doing its bit to liven things up, showing off its new video series, entitled “Smash IT” at its booth.
The Smash IT video series launched today, Tuesday April 27, and is something of a cross between Wayne’s World and teardowns of your favorite (or not so favorite) tech products. A gadget demolition derby, if you will.
TI believes the videos will highlight how TI products play across the board, in every aspect of the signal chain.
There is also a Smash IT website where the firm encourages engineers to send in requests for what they would most like to see smashed. No prizes for guessing what the most requested gadget currently is (hint: it starts with “i” and ends with “pad”).
Check out the video from the booth as well as an episode of Smash IT below.
