Every Microsoft employee to get windows phone 7 device

.
Microsoft employees, look under your chairs… yes, that’s right, you will all be going home with a brand new Windows Phone 7 device, yes, all 90,000 of you!
Though it may sound like a scene straight out of Oprah, complete with hysterical soccer mums – tears streaming down their chubby faces – screeching with joy while hopping about, the above is exactly what Microsoft will be doing for its hordes and hordes of employees, scattered across the globe.
The news was delivered to Microsofties at the firm’s MGX (Microsoft Global Exchange) conference on Wednesday and hit the mainstream when ZDNet’s Microsoft specialist Mary Jo Foley retweeted a senior marketing manager at the Redmond firm (who has since removed her tweet).
“90K down… just under 30 million to go: RT @simchabe: Woot. Every single microsoft employee will get a windows phone 7,” read Foley’s twatterings.
The announcement comes just days after Microsoft released its “technical preview” of the new OS, signaling that the revamped mobile software was almost ready for public consumption on a large scale.

90,000 is certainly a pretty decent start to that large scale, although Microsoft had better hope its offering is more than up to scratch if momentum and word of mouth is to spread from its benevolent employee marketing endeavor.
