DENVER-TensorComm, which designs technology to increase CDMA and W-CDMA network capacity and efficiency, said it scored $7 million in financing.
The company holds a patent for an Interference Cancellation Technology made up of a component that fits in a mobile handset and allows for improved network capacity, coverage and service quality, said the company.
The funding will be used to commercially deploy ICT-enabled handsets and to focus research and development efforts on evolving WiMAX and OFDM technologies. Funding also will be used for expansion efforts in Europe and Asia.
The financing was led by Centennial Ventures, a new investor in the company. Existing investors Access Venture Partners, Crawley Ventures and iSherpa Capital also participated in the financing round.
