PCS LICENSEE STARTS SEARCH FOR PARTNERS

MINNEAPOLIS-Personal communications services licensee WirelessNorth introduced its “Wireless Partners Program” during the North Dakota Telephone Association’s 35th Annual Tri-State Telephone Operations Conference last month in Fargo, N.D.

The program defines the relationships WirelessNorth will consider forming with companies interested in providing PCS, said Dan Richards, director of sales and marketing for WirelessNorth.

“These partnerships or affiliations can range from joint ventures and strategic alliances, to partitioning of our licensed areas and reseller/dealer agreements,” explained Richards. “Judging by the number of attendees, this emerging technology is of particular interest and importance to telecommunications companies across the region. We have received a number of calls in response to our announcement.”
