OWNINGS MILLS, Md.-Aether Technologies Inc. announced it will join L.M. Ericsson’s new Wireless Internet Solutions unit to co-market and develop wireless data services specifically targeting the online financial investment community.
Under the agreement, Ericsson will deliver wireless data network solutions for a variety of platforms, while software provider Aether will provide the link connecting enterprise systems to the wireless network. The two expect to jointly market applications to the financial community as well, beginning with Aether’s Reuters MarketClip financial quotes, alerts, news and information service.
Going further, Ericsson and Aether said they plan to explore new technologies for next-generation high-speed networks to enable new services.
