CALGARY-Cell-Loc Inc. said it completed the first phase Code Division Multiple Access trial of the Cellocate System PCS/CDMA, after three months of testing.
Results of the digital wireless location testing include an accuracy of 90 meters root mean square, with the majority of “locates” occurring at less than 55 meters, said the company.
“Our goal is to locate the majority of PCS/CDMA telephones to within 10 meters,” said Dr. Michel Fattouche, co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Cell-Loc. “We see this as a very realistic goal given that we have already achieved accuracies as good as 15 meters on many occasions. Cell-Loc is initiating a second-phase CDMA trial with the intent toward achieving this accuracy in the very near future.”
